How do those two smaller brackets work in relation to the post that bolts to the bedside? I have that piece but I wasn't aware of those two smaller brackets..

67chevy1series, They were on the outside of the rim when mounted, I was told this setup is the real deal but I don't know for sure, never seen a true stock setup

Do you no the reason for the hole in the other end of nut that you yous to tighten the tire down I was going to make some of them I see no reason for the hole.

Would that hole line up for a deep shanked padlock through the wheel? At least that is what I thought.
