That sounds normal. remember, that first bit you're cleaning all the crap out of a new motor, and also that stuff usually doesn't make it out of the pan, it's that last little bit right by the plug that doesn't come out, so it's still in there. I still get a little bit on changes with my one motor that has about 3k on it. I tend to overchange the oil on it. If you cut the filter open and see fine glitter though, that's usually the telltale sign.

Now that sounds logical, informative, and interesting as well. Plus, only takes a few minutes to get such an xray of the oiling system and wear symptoms. Good idea for a note to keep on the workbench! I like it. Sam |
