200r4 question for those running one.

Just sat my engine and 200r4 in the frame rails today and was looking at the angle of the combination.
I am thinking I may need to shim my tranny mount up about 3/8" to level my carburetor out, as its about a 1/4" off level out the back.

Anyone else encountered this or even concerned about it? I'm running a stock THM 350 mount.

Most tech sources will state that you don't want it all level. It all comes into play with your driveline angle.

Just as you don't want your rear-end pinion angle level, you don't want your engine/tranny angle level either.

Most will recommend about 3 degrees, but there are differences of opinion on how much you actually want to go

I never even checked mine in the Suburban when I installed it. It sets in the same place as the original TH400. Workin' good so far, just turned over 3000 miles.

Right on, I understand, The engine and tranny will still be at an angle if I level out my intake manifold plenum.

Shes not off by much. Putting the drive line in may show me how much I can, or need to adjust.

I have the 200-4r in mine and put it in the same way the TH350 was in, only thing I had to change was the bolts that bolted the mount to the transmission as they were metric. My TH350 also had a 5/16" plate shim originally so I used that again as well
