Are these drops just done with springs, or is there more to it so that you can still get a proper alignment after the drop?

2.5" dropped spindles in front (no change to geometry), combined with one cut coil on each original spring for another 2.5-3". Added one additional shim to each mounting point on the upper control arms. Aligned perfectly and drives straight down the road. 5" drop springs combined with 2" blocks in the rear.

Installed the ECE kit a few months back. Total drop of 4/7 to even out the stance. Added a 1" lowering block in the rear. C-notch to follow.

17" TTII's w/ 255/55/17 on all 4 corners

Thanks. Yes you need to c-notch for clearance. Even with CPP 5" springs I bottomed out all the time and it needed then. Opinions and numbers seem to be all over the place as to when it is "required". I recommend installing the springs and using your own judgement.

Looks wicked. How is your scrub line in the back with the 2" blocks and those wheels? I measured mine and best I could get before I starting hitting hard parts was 1.5" with blocks. 2" was really close.

I wouldn't go any lower than this with 15" wheels...it's very close!

71 GMC 1500 with 2.5 CPP Spindles, 1" CCP Spring, DJM Flip Kit 5" FK1012-5 for 2.25" leaf spring. Supposedly 3.5/5 more like a 4/6. 20x8 OldSkool with 275/45 Falken Ziex TZ04. The front has settled a little more since these pics after doing the ball joints and getting the springs seated properly.

I haven't got to that point yet of seeing if 20's would fit, but I dont see any reason they wouldn't. only thing i would have to take into consideration is tire sizes for front and rear.
