The harness on my column is flat, is it the same?
I first brused it then used a roller but didnt like the way it went on, so I went back to the brush. I didnt use a degreaser or anything like that, just wiped it down w/ a moist cloth. I used a seperate container.

A few updates (not that anyone cares).
I got the bbw inner panel in. Sorry, I wanted to take pictures but when I got there and started I realized I had forgotten my camera. Also put in a 1 piece aluminum drive line. Gonna be installing the a/c setup I found at the junkers.

Been a while. Lots of things have happened, laid off, a year of unemployement, found a job that led to a very good job than an accident at the dunes, 1 surgery and 3 weeks have taught to be very appreciative of what I have and what could be.
Got the engine buttoned up, 2" drop coils and 2.5" drop spindles in the front plus a 1.25" sway bar have all been installed. Started on the interior work but I have no experience with body work and paint so Im going to have someone do it. I have changed my mind on the seats so I picked up some buddy buckets locally for $150. They look worse than the really are but the foam is usable. I didnt feel like making brackets and messing w/ the wiring plus I want to keep it looking sort of period correct. I Might go w/ the pattern as oklahomaduners stock buckets but in leather. The gauge cluster has been rechromed and is on its way back. Picked up a NOS bat-o-meter and very nice tach. Found all the correct windshield and side window custom trim and badges. Also got another tilt for less than $80 for one the the suburbans. Im buying things for the truck rather than working on it but to me it feels like progress. I tell myself "This is gonna end up real nice." but I still dont get off my lazy @ss. No gore but you can see what happened to my wrist, could have been paralyzed.

Woah, that wrist looks like you jacked it up bad. That, coupled along with what sounded like a terrible year, and I'm just glad to see that you're getting back to normal. When serious issues happen like that, it really puts life into perspective.

Do you still have the Suburban? You know.....I've been looking for a pair of 15x7 Daisys for one of my builds, and I see that you have a set on the Suburban. Do you plan on running those wheels?

Thanks for the concern. Everything happens for a reason, the unemployment, crummy job then to get a good job then 2 weeks later an accident. The cobra retro paid the hospital, at the time I thought I was going to be owing over 10 grand. Thankfully they were forgiving and told me to get better and get to work. I am by no means feeling sorry for myself, I know others have it worse. Like you said it puts everything in perspective.
I still have the suburbans but have not decided what to do about those, I'm not to crazy about them but do like that they're old school. I keep you in the loop on it.

Went to a auto swapmeet yesterday and picked up this booster for $60. Im going to put this in rather than the setup I already have but wonder how much of a difference there will be.

Been working on the truck lately. Just put down some por-15 in the cab then dynamat. Started installing the new wiring from American Autowire. Need to straighten out the trans hump before I put on the rest of the dynamat. Picked up a few neat things from a couple of auto swap meets as well.

joe- trucks looking real good, glad to see you back at it! love the big back window! i'll be starting that after winter passes, what side of fresno do you live on? thats my home town, i use to live off olive & chesnut when i worked at the winery off of olive an clovis then moved to north & peach by the glass plant then moved to fowler all before i moved out to oklahoma 10yrs. ago! just remembering the good old days, lol! you still have the suburban?? i talked my wife into getting one to being my next project!!

Thanks for the kind words. I stay off of the 99 and clinton. I used to drive by that "stink factory" everyday for work but go down chestnut and olive now. I still have the suburbs, still sitting too. All the extra time is now going toward an impala we picked up. I'm not that big of a fan of cars but the 64 is turning out to be pretty neat. I would really like to get the 4x4 going but that's a whole different can of worms I'm not trying to open right now.

Am now installing an American Autowire 500560 harness into this bad boy. I have started a more detailed thread here to help anyone wanting to do the same.

Back from the dead.

I didn't have the time to do the wiring myself so I subbed it out guy did a hell of a job. Added headlamp relays just in case. AAW said it wouldn't be necessary but it wouldn't hurt. Wired up the fan and A/C just how I wanted. There was no way I would have got it done after seeing how he did it. Also picked up an aluminum rear tank from Boyds tanks here on the forum, great product even better price. Fits and looks great. Going to start installing the Nu-Relics power windows with the Nu-cranks here soon. Not the cheapest but didn't want to do it again once I realized I shouldn't have been cheap on something like that. Went for looks with black Wildwood calipers and cross drilled rotors. Went with the less is more approach and chose black instead of red. I know I should expect a noticeable difference but am going to love the way it looks. For anyone anyone else going with the D52 wilwoods you will need to run a spacer if running the truck rallies, they scrape along the front of the caliper. I've decided to go with some type of fawn colored interior so I got the buddies done in two tone leather for contrast. Got the interior painted but the guy was a clown so it will need to be completely redone.

Built a shroud out stainless for the electric fan. Not bad for not having a brake. Getting body panels taken apart again to get blasted in preparation for when i find my paint and body guy. Seeing as how I went way overboard on the scope of the work and money, I'm feeling uneasy about not going all out on things I've already done. Does anyone else get like that? What have you done to get over it?
