reuse pitman and spindle nuts?
Hey guys
I wanted to know if its ok to reuse the castle nuts on the spindle (ill use new cotter pins obviously) and also if its ok to reuse the nut and lock washer on the pitman arm? thanks! |

I dont see why not, as long as the threads are in good shape, but I have to ask did the new parts come with new ones???
Assuming you installed new parts??

nah, the moog pitman arm didnt come with a new nut/washer and im reusing stock spindles...

Only nuts you don't reuse are the steel compression lock nuts and Nyloc brand lock nuts.
Castle nuts are fine as long as threads are good and no damage to the castle portion.

I hope its ok as i have been doing it for years! it is as a nut is not a wear item.
