Re: What's left of a 1968 3/4 ton 2wd. BEING SCRAPPED FRIDAY 9/13!!
How is the condition of the sheet metal in the firewall on the corners?
Such as in this picture underneath the hood of my truck you see in the corner on the firewall where rust is coming up: I'll get a better pick if you like of what i'm talking about. If they're good gimme a price if you would to 98204. Last edited by lha1992; 09-13-2013 at 06:35 AM. |

PM sent to everyone that wanted parts.
I do not have a hood for it anymore, front clip has been gone for quite a while. I do have a v8 radiator and some extra door latch stuff. lha1992: Bassetlust has already spoken for those patch panels, if the deal falls through, i'll get ahold of you.

How much for a piece of the outter cowl panel to the right hand side? I need a patch just pass the begining of the wiper transition area.

Have any pictures of the 6 cylinder? And could you describe it's condition more than "good"?
Thanks Jim |

Re: What's left of a 1968 3/4 ton 2wd. BEING SCRAPPED FRIDAY 9/13!!
@supercheyenne: The farmer that i bought it from said that the head was "just" (Farmer was old, so i wouldn't trust that it was gone through like yesterday.) gone through and new valves put in and resurfaced. the bottom end is not locked up. but hasn't been started in many years. The carb and distributor are gone, but i think i have an Inline 6 HEI distributor i'll throw in along with a decent looking 2 barrel carb..

I'm going to pass on the motor. Was just looking for a drop in to get the truck running enough to pass inspection.
Thanks Jim |

Re: What's left of a 1968 3/4 ton 2wd. BEING SCRAPPED FRIDAY 9/13!!
Have You scrapped the truck already??? I need the center-section out of the EATON Rear_END?????TRYING to find a 4.10 Gear-set or 3.73 Ring and Pinion Set that was in the 'camper special'. 4.10 was most common in all other C-20 trucks. Either one would serve me well.
Let me hear from Ya if You can Help at all or point me somewhere else. Jimmy

Re: What's left of a 1968 3/4 ton 2wd. BEING SCRAPPED FRIDAY 9/13!!
I'm looking for a carrier bearing mounting bracket -- like the one in the first picture in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=584787
I'm also looking for the 1 (or a set) of swaybar mounting brackets, the brackets that are riveted to the frame. Can you let me know if you have either - Thanks Ken |
