Good LS tuner around eastern NC area?
Anyone recommend a good tuner for my 5.3?
I'm reading on here that most guys are getting around 20 mpg's....I'm only getting 15. I got a complete liftout (5.3/4L60e, ECM/TCM, gas pedal, harness) from a 2009 Silverado. Speartech modified my harness and did my programming Any suggestions on who to see? Around the Raleigh area would be best for me. |

There's a good place in Mooresville. Depending on how far you are looking to travel. PCM for Less is who did my computer, very nice people and great service.

Re: Good LS tuner around eastern NC area?
I installed a LS 4.8 litre with a 4l60e trani first in my 68 c10. That first use engine was junk. So I then swapped that one out for a LS 6 litre. I purchased the harness, the programmed pcm from http://www.nelsonperformance.com. They first programmed it for the 4.8, then I sent it back to them and reprogrammed it for the 6 litre. They will program it for what ever modifications you have done. They also have an exchange service available. So, no down time. I paid the extra for the performance tune for life. It worked good for me.

I guess they go by "PCM of NC" now. Even though it almost 4 hrs away I'm strongly considering just making the drive. Thank you for the tip.

What are the specs on the rest of your mods?Other things besides tuning can have a lot of effect.Tire size,4X4 vs 2wd, can all cause less milage. If it's a 2wd and 3:73 rear gears, you may have it in "Limp Home" mode which will lower efficiency.Certain parts of the ECM need to be disabled to get the best out of one.
