keep in mind that those 8 bolts on the the hub are the only hardware that is holding the axle in place.

Thats why there are 8 bolts. Thats a lota bolts.

I am glad you brought that up because that is next to the last on my to do list.

On your truck was there a gasket between the axle flange and the hub?

resurrecting another old thread because this info is HARD to find. :-)

Regarding the aluminum gaskets, Ive heard of folks putting a thin layer of gasket sealer and some not.

Any pros and cons to this?
