Illinois guys, question about emission tests
It looks like we will be moving to Illinois early next year. I see on the Illinois emissions test web site that all vehicles from 1968 and newer have to pass the emissions test. I am not sure I understand their "exhaust emissions cutpoint" thing either. My 68 has a heavily modified TPI engine that has had all the emissions stuff removed. Am I screwed?
edit: In looking at the Illinois emissions test web site some more, the zip code of where we are moving is not listed. I think this means my vehicles are not required to pass the emissions test, right?

well maybe not....do u think it's better emissions wise than a stock 69 would have been?????
they don't look under the hood.... what town are u moving to??? some town's out west of chicago...don't even test..... i live in aurora il and they do test.... got my 85 638 c.i. regestered out west at my sister inlaws house  dohoo.....let me know....MARK |

As far as I know they test only in Chicago. Here in central Illinois there is no testing.

It looks like I may be OK. We are moving to the very south end of Naperville in Will county.
