White Patina truck pics?

Anybody got any good pics of white trucks with any level of patina? Checking out a stepper tomorrow with what I would consider medium patina and really want to see what they look like at any stage of patina.

Fleet or step, show me what you've got or seen. Also be cool to know if the surface rust has been CLR'd.

Re: White Patina truck pics?

My daily driver for a long time. The white on the cab and clip was original paint. I faked the patina on the short bed to match after I converted it from one ton to a short bed.

Re: White Patina truck pics?

These are awesome guys!

I looked at this '71 today (5 lug disc brakes). It's pretty solid but needs the usual: rockers and a few patch panels but the body is straight. SPID, VIN plate, and title are all there and appears to have all original sheet metal. Rebuilt 6 cylinder and auto tranny (added about 15 years ago). Daily driven up to about 2 years ago.

Going back to get it next weekend. First task: CLR!!

Pretty solid looking truck! I think it will look good CLR'd and I'd ditch those wagon wheels!

I think so, too. It has a few spots that need attention but with the CLR treatment, an ECE drop and some nice wheels should come back to life stylistically anyway. Will take care of the cancer spots as well (particularly driver side rocker).

When you replace that rocker(s), there are a lot of techniques for antiquing white paint to match the rest of the rest of the truck. The chain guard on this bike is from another bike that I painted and antiqued to match the tank and fenders. Nobody that has seen it in person has ever noticed it.

Here's my 67 stepper. A little sunburnt to much on top. I have never slowed down enough to do the CLR treatment.

Absolutely love this truck! This is one of the reason I'm buying the white one. Such a cool truck!

What's your drop and wheel/tire set-up, Step67/72?
