Replace your cab light lenses/gaskets for $29
Tonight I replaced my cab lights and gaskets for $29 (plus shipping). The cheapest that I could find from LMC, Classic Parts, Classic Industries, Brothers, etc. was $80. Here's the link: http://www.truckspring.com/heavy-dut.../VSM1313A.aspx I don't work for them and I've never ordered from them either. The lights are $5.72 each and include the light socket, bulb, rubber base gasket and the lens. I didn't use the sockets or bulbs but it's nice to have spares. It might be good for someone wanting to add clearance lights to their truck. Anyway, I thought you guys might be interested.

Re: Replace your cab light lenses/gaskets for $29
I paid extra to get genuine GM gaskets for my truck. When they arrived, I see this on the package....
Made in China. Looks like I'd have been ahead to just get the ones like you got. China is China. But I would have more money left in my pocket if I hadn't gotten the Chinese ones in the GM bag. Thanks for the tip. Next time I need some I will know where to go.

Funny you should mention about GM parts being made in china.. I just bought a starter relay for my diesel from GM Parts Direct and it too was made in china.. It lasted one start.. I too have decided that the unnamed aftermarket is prolly the same quality as the new DM parts..
Good find Arrover

Re: Replace your cab light lenses/gaskets for $29
Thanks guys. I hope the info is helpful to someone. Yes, I agree that these are most likely made overseas somewhere. They aren't marked like the original Signal Stat 9069 lenses were and they didn't come in any packaging (other than the shipping box). I imagine that these are probably the same as the lenses and gaskets that you would get from the reproduction parts houses but I can't be sure.
