Towing tips?

I'm gonna be hauling my 67 Chevelle to the race track behind my 67 Chevy pickup next year. It's got front discs, helper bags in the back and a trailer brake controller. It's lowered 4.5 in front and 6 in the back. Is there anything I'm forgetting that I could do to it to help tow or any other advice you guys have for me? Thanks

Re: Towing tips?

Check the wheel bearings, tire pressures and brakes on the trailer. Nothing like going down the road and finding out your trailer brakes dont work to get you heart pumping. How big is your transmission cooler?

In the late 70s I drove a front engine dragster, 120 inch wheel base, 396 on alky that ran in the 8.10s at 180+. Man what a rush..!!!

Re: Towing tips?

That's a good idea on the transmission cooler, I just use the one in the radiator. I'll get a good aftermarket one
