85 chevy k10 brake question
Hi I have a question I got an 85 chevy single cab Lwb 305 motor.
How low to the floor does your brake pedal get? Mines gets almost maybe about 4" away. I've bled my brakes changed pads. Is that normal? Could I not be getting vacume |

Re: 85 chevy k10 brake question
Just with the rear shoes not being ajusted will make that much of a difference? The forms do 90% or braking almost oh well this doesn't seem like it should be this low ill ajust them

Re: 85 chevy k10 brake question
Try to press and hold the brake pedal, see if it sinks further. (bad master?)
Does the e-brake work? If it was adjusted and works, then your rear brakes were/are in the ballpark. If setting the e brake helps your pedal, then you still have more work to do on your rear brake adjustment. Do you have a dirt driveway? do a slow roll and slam on the brakes, get out. did it leave 4 skid marks? (it should.)

Re: 85 chevy k10 brake question
I changed out the mastercylinder and of course the fluid it raised the pedal a lil more to my liking. I might now change to discs in the rear just for the ease of maintaining. Has anyone here used a early to mid 90s camaro caliper and bracket on the back with a 6 lug rotor I was thinking if using a 88 k1500 rotor on the rear
