what kinda steel to use

im going to build my four link for my truck, and was wondering do i need to get a certain kind of tubbing to use i know i want it thick enough on the id so i can drill and tap for my ends but didnt know what grade of steel or thickness to get i didnt want to get the wrong stuff and it bend or not hold up

The point of that specific wall thickness is that it leaves an 11/16" internal diameter, which is exactly what you need for tapping with 3/4-16 threads.
