Any input on swapping out front & rear suspensions from a 73+ Chevy truck on to the 64-66 frame?

I searched the threads... Perhaps I just worded it wrong...Did not find much.

I have been gathering parts in the past couple days & just picked up a nice 64-66 frame.

I have multiple sets of Dana 44 fronts & GM 14 bolts in newer out fits.

You can check out my build in my signature below. I adapter the rear suspension from a 73 to my 66, but I did a custom job on the front because I didn't like the 73" front brackets. Anyway, hope to provides a little help. Its definitely not that hard.

the back is not bad at all actually very easy the front is where the problem is the original springs are 44" and the 73-87 springs are 47" if you wait till after this weekend i can tell you more about how to do the front with the newer suspension I am gonna tackle it we did some measuring and the front mount can go in the same place as the center of the springs are 22" from the front mount on both sets so all you will have to do is move the rear mount back 3" and cut new hole and drill holes for the shackles mine is a little more complicated as I am putting 8" spring lift on mine but it may have to be lowered but we will see how it all turns out

I was wondering about the front suspension, would you have to mod the front to accept shackles and springs and swap out any frame members in the process?

Yes.....the entire C series front suspension has to be removed and replaced with a crossmember for the motor mounts. The thread I posted a link to shows everything you need to do.
