Question Changing single wheel box to dually?

I have an '88 V-30 (old body style) camper special with a beat up P-O-S box, but very nice fiberglass fenders. I want to put them on a single wheel rust free '83 box that I have. It looks like it should be fairly easy with some trimming & drilling. Has anyone done it before? Is it as simple as it looks? I also need to add a gas tank door to the right side.

Give me a day or two and I'll post a pic of a real dually box without the fenders on.

Thanks for the pics. Now i can see that there are many bolt holes & some trimming for sure.

That red X is supposed to be a pic of my truck. I took it in jpeg, put it in msn photos, but no luck. I have been forever trying to get a pic on here. I give up
