Project Goldie
I've been wanting to find a Truck to Daily drive so i can dive into my 67 a little more with having to worry about having it put back together the next day. Today I picked up Goldie a 1970 long box with a 307 and 3ott. Plans are to clean it up a bit fix a few rust spots Change the wheels and lower it a little bit. I love the patina on it and want to keep as much of that as I can.

Re: Project Goldie
Well I've owned the truck for a week and a half now and a couple gremlins have already popped up. I kind of expected it though because the truck had sat for a while at the previous owners house. It's going to need a complete front to back break job and 4 new tires. On Sunday in a matter of a hr a rear wheel cylinder blew and a belt broke on one of the tires and the tread seperated. The other three tires look like they are about ready to do the same. Pay day it will be getting $400 in new tires. Pay day after that new breaks and payday after that a tune up. then a Quick buff job a detail and I can put a for sale sign it to free up some money for the new motor in my 67

Re: Project Goldie
Goldie had a rough Week. besides the Breaks and tires when I was driving it to the DMV on Friday one of the front Wheel bearing decided to part company with the front drum. Pay day it's getting Breaks and tires. Also might be putting a set of factory Rally Wheels on it that a buddy has.

Re: Project Goldie
Looks like Goldie is going to get some cast off parts from My Blue 67. I Just found a good deal on a Accel HEI Distributer for $82 That i'm going to put in the 67 to get it running while I save up the money for the 383 Stroker. Then When I'm done with it in the 67 Goldie will get it and some finned valve covers I have. i'll have Some up date Pictures soon.

Re: Project Goldie
Been working on Goldie a littel bit nothing picture worthy though. Brakes are done and picked up a set of Rally Wheels that will be getting new tires put on next pay day. Also might have found a hood that is the same shade of gold in better condition and a grill.

Re: Project Goldie
Been getting a little done on Goldie. Got the Wheels mounted and a better grill put on and knocked the dent in the hood out a little bit.Still looking for a better hood that's the same shade of gold and a drivers side door panel and steering wheel that are the same color as the ones in there now. Also thinking about Air bagging Goldie After looking at some pictures of Nacho.
