Re: Frame paint
I have used Bill Hirsch chassis paint for years with good luck. But there are many others that also work great..

Re: Frame paint
Rustoleum code 7777. You can buy it in quarts, gallons and spray bombs almost anywhere and its easy to use and touch up.

Re: Frame paint
Welcome to the site from the eastern part of frozen Arkansas. I am A born bowtie lover bleed bowtie Orange and own a bodyshop here in a small farming town of about 4500. I rebuild late model wrecks for a living for fun I do old muscle and trucks. there are tons and tons of great help on here. As soon as you can go to the home page click the home in the upper left corner then click on tech tips then your style of truck and enjoy. There is always something helpful there. I have and will again use the PPG's DPLF 90. It is an epoxy primer in black. I have used it on everything from a frame to a core support and not only does it last real well it looks great. Jim

As hugger6933 stated earlier in this post, PPG's DPLF 90 is the cats meow if you want the best, most durable finish. But read, expensive and harder to use, and use a good respirator. I use the Rustoleum 7777 because I drive most of my cars and I can walk into any WalMart and buy touch up paint. I have a trailer queen Corvette and Chevelle that have the DP 90. |

Re: Frame paint
Used Eastwood chassis and Tractor paint both, didn't see any bigger advantage to either one. I think just compare the cost unless it is spending it's life on a trailer from now on.
