Fuel line fittings question
Ok, I know this has been asked and answered a hundred times I'm sure but I keep getting confused. Right now I have an inline pump and it is giving me some trouble so I have bought an 87 tank and sending unit to replace what I have. I also bought a new pump to put in the tank (my truck is an 85). I have attached a picture of the sending unit I bought it is Dorman # 692-027. I know I can just slip the fuel line over the fittings and clamp it but I was wanting to do something more secure and possibly use braided line. My question is what fittings do I need to go from the sending unit lines to the fuel line and how do I connect them? I am getting confused with compression fittings and AN fittings and I don't know much about them, the differences or if they are the same or what so I figured I would just flat out ask. I also need to know about attaching it to the corvette regulator. Part numbers would be great as well! Thanks!

Re: Fuel line fittings question
I TIG'd a steel AN fitting to the return, and flared the tube for a female AN flare nut on the feed. I also TIG welded the emissions vent line closed.

Re: Fuel line fittings question
It's a single 37* JIC / AN flare. It mates up to AN fittings.

Re: Fuel line fittings question
It's from a 1991 K/5 blazer. 31 gallon. The pump module is for the same truck, with a high pressure fuel pump put in it's place.

Re: Fuel line fittings question
I bought safety push on 3/8 and 5/16 to -6 fittings and cut the bubble off the end of the sending unit and put them on jus like they attach to the fuel rail, then jus used push lok hose and fitting down to the steel fuel line on my frame then used compression to an fittings to connect them. My fone won't let me attach pics or I'd send u one, it was really easy if u don't wanna do any welding, I think I can send them from my tablet on here if u want a pic, jus ask.
