1955 chevy 1300
Just purchased a 1955 chevy 1300. On the plate it says it is a 1420 model. What does that mean?

Re: 1955 chevy 1300
1300 is the canadian equivalent of the 3100
1420 is a 3/4 ton

Re: 1955 chevy 1300
Can you post a pic?
Is it six lug? Someone may have put a 3/4 ton cab on a half ton frame, or shortened the frame and converted it to a half ton. |

Re: 1955 chevy 1300
lots of vehicles to this day have different US names in canada and australia.
the canadian version of my truck would be 1300 and have the fender mounted spare on the passengers side

Re: 1955 chevy 1300
Correction, turns out it is 1314 model. I assume that one from the states would be a 3114. Not sure what the 14 means?
