Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
I didn't cut it off. I welded some plates on the back for re-enforcement and then made some brackets so the back flips up so the seat can be used. Not great pictures, but I think you get the point.

Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
Hey, those photos are Awesome, I like the open back program, That is awesome, I guess there is enough seats in that truck without making another one center front. I wonder where I could get those burb hinges?

Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
Burb buddy's are pretty rare, but I'm sure you could make something similar.

Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
So after searching high and low since I got my truck, I finally snagged a set of buddy buckets. They're nasty looking seats, even after I cleaned off the coating of dog hair and spider eggs, but for $75 I just couldn't pass them up.
They look like Dodge BB's I think...maybe out of a Warlock?? I am definitely gonna get new foam/covers for them, but not really sure what route to take. I've seen on ebay you can get chevy foams for decent prices, but I don't know if the chevy foam will fit these seats. Anybody ever done that? I am also a bit concerned about this metal back bracing. Its rusted bad, but i'm not sure if its a structural part of the seat frame, or just part of the foam setup. It had foam over it, but if anybody has some experience with these seats, any advice appreciated. thanks. |

Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
Looks like dodge's to me. Still a great deal for 75 bucks.

Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
I just got a set of Procar Low buckets from Summit. Great quality, great seat. Price was right also. The bracket to convert bench to Buckets was a quality piece also, all for around 5 bills .

Re: Buddy Bucket Seats
I am not sure the right place for this question. I bought what I was told was a buddy bucket seat from a 1968 CST. I was told that it had been modified over the years. Well, I am in the process of cleaning it up. I would like to get the frame back to original. I have enclosed pictures. Did these actually come from a 68 CST or something else. Does anyone have a good picture of what right looks like? I may need some help with a few measurements too, once we decide to start fabricating.
Its the first seat I had seen in a while, so I figure its a starting point. |
