72 c20 title problem.signed to self?
ok so i have a slight / or big problem lol.
a close friend and a semi close friend had a c20 on there property. big block truck no motor. they gave it to me for free. the owner the semi close friend works on the oil rigs out in the sea. IMPOSSIBLE to ever get ahold of. he mailed the title and signed it off, but signed it off to himself! lol. i have the truck on my lot and its been here a while, and sat at the neighbiors lot for like 6 years. am i pretty much screwed?

He can order a duplicate title from his state's dmv. Cost about 8 bucks can be done online. I believe he could also have it sent to your house. Then you can fill out that title and get it under your name.

Re: 72 c20 title problem.signed to self?
I had the same thing with my "69" happen, guy signed off on the wrong line. By the time I had noticed it he was long gone. I called the dmv and explained what had happened and I couldn't locate the guy. So they had me fill out an affadavid form they had explaining the story and they changed the title into my name. check with your dmv to see what they say.
