What battery was used for TP2 and T60 options?
I have top-post TP2 (dual battery) and T60 (Heavy Duty Battery) options.
Does anyone know what battery was used for the T60? I don't want to go to the significant expense of buying two R59 reproductions only to find out this truck would have had a set of different Delco batteries! Thanks, Dave

Re: What battery was used for TP2 and T60 options?
Really? No one? Well, it's no fun sharing your research when no one else is playing along, but here goes in case it's useful to someone:
The fake lid we all run on various projects (you know the one) is supposed to look like a Delco R59 battery. The reproduction battery that's the next step up, and I run it in Pontiac, is the R59 gel battery. It'll look right to 98% of people (or 100% of the people who read this thread and didn't know, I suppose). So far as I can tell if you had the HD battery option you'd get the Delco R71. That's also the battery you'd get in a Cadillac Eldorado of the same year, so it's probably just more amp-hours, hence HD. I have no way to know if you had some mix of TP2 but not T60 if you could wind up with a heavy duty main battery and regular AUX battery. I'm going to go with two R71s, hoping its the right thing. But if anyone knows different please chime in!
