Tire Size/Drop question

Sorry, I searched around but really didn't find anything posted.

I currently have a 4.5''/6'' drop on my 82 short bed, running a 275/60r15 set up in the rear, and 255/60r15''s upfront. I need new tires up front, and was considering running a matching set up there (275/60r15)

I was just wondering if anyone on here was running that setup, or has ran it, and if there were any rubbing issues running at 275/60R15 up front with that low of a drop on a 8'' rally wheel.

Thanks guys.

Re: Tire Size/Drop question

why? running a shorter tire in front, especially on a lowered truck, always looks great on a 2 WD

Re: Tire Size/Drop question

You will have issues with a 275/60 on a lowered front end and an 8" rally, 245/60 would be better on an 8" rally

Dang Malo, it's been a while, is that your 83 that you were running the 275/50 TA's on? It looks great man! Are those 245/60r15''s all around?

Thanks, the fronts are 245/60/15's on 8" rallys and the rears are 295/50/15's on 10" rallys, sold the old rims and went with new rallys, couldn't find 275/50 TA's anywhere

The look has really started to bother me lately.

I want all the tires to be the same size, 1: It's cheaper for me at the moment, and 2, I;m not liking the rake as it it sits.

Re: Tire Size/Drop question

What about a 235/70R15 on all 3 corners? Anyone have a shot of that? Or feedback? I can't get a set of BFG Radial TA's in that size for pretty cheap. I think I might roll with them.

Re: Tire Size/Drop question

Why not put your rear wheels on the front and see if you have any fitment issues?

I had 245/60's an 15x8.5 slots on the front of my truck with a 6/8 drop, and they worked out well. This was with a 255/70 rear tire on the same wheel.
