torch red?

does anybody know a aproximate price on a torch red bace clear? i wwas thinkin it was like $350 but im not really sure. i go to school for auto body so i can get it at cost so that will help out some. thanks heres what im after as a result.......................-kyle

From what I remember when I worked in a paint store,Red was the most expensive color. I think you're in the ball park at $350 for a gallon...

That is correct. Red is the most expensive "primary" color, and any color that is derived from red cost more too.

I paid $380 a gallon for Viper red. That's paint only. By the time you buy reducer, hardner, clear, clear activator, and paint thinner for cleaning the gun you can easily have over $1000 in materials alone depending on how much paint you use. Since some base-coats reduce 1:1, one gallon of paint can thin down into two gallons.
