Project old school
Got the tranny rebuilt for project old school, a saginaw 4-speed with new hurst linkage from summit racing... I thought I would break away from the th350 norm and row my own gear's.... Quickie rebuild on a 350 here after x-mas... Also I picked up these slotted mag's (3 of em ) from a guy who owed some ducket's to me..... 15X8.5...

Sweeeeet! My Chevelle was set up with a mild 350, Muncie M-21/Hurst, 3.73 gears, and a set of turbine wheels for a few years. No doubt about it, that combo was a BLAST!
Love them wheels, man!

That's the same tranny/linkage that I have in my '69 with 3.73 gears, and it's a blast to drive. If your transmission is new you should try some Redline synthetic gear oil. It made mine shift much smoother. I rebuilt mine recently. I ran it for about 1k miles on standard gear oil to break it in, and then replaced it with the Redline. There was a noticible difference.
Your truck is going to be real similar to mine when you're done... hmm... never thought of myself as old school

Wow. Are those slotted mags worth anything? I just obtained 4 of them for free. And I LOVE my muncie. Best thing I ever did to my pick-up.
