Re: Christmas break......Getin er done !!!!
Very nice! I got your PM on the 3 spoke wheel. I will be talking to my friend in the next few days, I'll get the pricing for you. The ones he has are the original type 'Comfort Grip' wheel and I can get them with the 67-68 Camaro hub. If you're not in a big hurry I can put one together for you. I get a little discount through his business so I'll just pass it along to you. Not looking to make anything and will send the receipts.. or just coordinate shipping directly to you if you want.

Sweet parts. Love that stage of bolting on the fun stuff. I see you did that fun loving vent window rebuild. Pita! But worth it.

Re: Christmas break......Getin er done !!!!
they are some very nice looking parts. theres nothing like the feeling of acomplishment.
I have gotten a few things done myself. its nice too have a lil' time off. I've also been fighting a "kit" that just isnt workin for me(more on this later). I'm a few weeks away from startin on my wing window's not lookin forward too it. but your pic's give me hope that it'll go well. i'm wandering how you got the fresh black texture on the 67 gb door?

SO WOULD I !!!! That's the plan.....Everyone has their own taste when it comes to restoring these trucks, I myself take pride in every small piece to keep it looking as ORIGINAL as possible right down to the correct restored hardware. The old motto "if its worth doing its worth doing RIGHT !" And the funny thing is this is all for the "patina driver"

Re: Christmas break......Getin er done !!!!
Got out to the shop today, we are having a little meltdown going on and the temp got up to a whopping 40. Soooooooooooo.....took advantage of it.
And another one checked off the "to-do" list! It was gonna be a long cold winter without it !!!

Re: Christmas break......Getin er done !!!!
Alright, got the drywall mess cleaned up and got the parts I was waiting on for the vent windows, sooooooo back to working on the truck.
Well after about an hour per side I finally got the seal to seat into the track corner, what a B**** ! I found this to be the hardest part of rebuilding them. The riviting went well, I was not impressed with the vertical seal and the placement of the rivet hole, just to close to the rubber to get the seating tool on center. I got the AERO-Rivet tool from member TBONE (THANKS MUCH !) but was only able to use it in a few places due to its size, but worked wonders for the pivot rivet. The doors are now 100% with rebuilt hinges, remotes, regulators and all new weatherstrip!! Also got the cowl panel CLR'ed and ready to go and got a few shinny parts shinny again......

Re: Christmas break......Getin er done !!!!
Very nice work. What gauge metal did you use for the patch? I have almost the exact same rust repair to be done on my floorboard.

Thanks ! I purchased the kick panel patch panels - KeyParts. And the 2 other patches I just cut out of some original gm metal I had around. That's the best part about living in the rust belt......lots of rotted sheet metal to use for patches !!
