opinions needed... Ochre truck... black or tinted bedliner?

Hi guys

My 71 ochre truck is original paint and pretty good for what she is. Id like to do a bedliner in it. I can see how black would look nice, but i could see how buying the tintable kit and mixing in some ochre might look nice too and less noticable.

What do you guys think? black or ochre bedliner?

thanks!

I think the tinted liner looks great in our old trucks-it makes it look like we spent then time to do it right, if you do go black, I suggest to not black the top rails, just do the inner bed I linered the underneath of my Challenger and the tint was an exact match-had a bodyshop tint it

I did the same thing about 6 years ago to my ochre truck, go black. (don't mind my granddaughter in the back.)

Well, my bed rails definitely need done. they are scuffed and beaten up. The rest of the truck looks good (not as good as C/10 king), but the bed and rails are dragging it down.

I definitely like that black

my other concern is getting the tint dark enough. i dont want it looking light yellow

keep them coming guys!

Did you know that LINE X can color match. Our local guy John can do it, so I guess all the LINE X shops can do it.

Re: opinions needed... Ochre truck... black or tinted bedliner?

well, ive talked to a linex guy locally and for the extra cash that the tint costs and the fact that they dont color match, but just mix the paint code from the factory (doesnt math 40 year old faded paint).

Add to that the fact that they will fade differently than the paint on thetruck... 10 years from now, i might end up with 2 distinctly different ochre/yellow colors

At least the black doesnt have to match

so im leaning toward the black and doing the bedrails and inner tailgate

I wouldn't have the rails done. That stuff is really hard to get off. I'd put black powder coated bed rail caps on and do an "under the rail" black liner.

I think those are your only option. The black ones would look good?
