Yes, it was a small metal one that bolted to the top of the core support. The truck in this picture has a V-8 in it but it has a 6 cyl shroud. LockDoc

My truck has that shroud on it! It also has 4 holes in the radiator support for a full shroud but I don't see any evidence that a shroud was ever on the truck.

L6 trucks had that Finger Guard as seen in Leon's post. The full wrap plastic Fan Shroud like on the V8s was not necessary, since the L6 block is so skinny anyway. With all that extra airspace in the engine bay, it's almost air-cooled.

Only ones I've seen w/shroud is automatic trucks. Straight 6 that is.

If you got an automatic behind your 6 it had a plastic shroud like a V8. This is my 2k mile truck
