67-68 frntclip?
I couldn't post in WIW for some reason,so what should a 68 front clip cost? I found one here in southern Utah, but Forrest Gump wants 1000 bucks. No headlights,no buckets,no inner fenders,no grill trim,no bumper! This sound about right,or is this dude watchin' too much Barrett-Jackson !?!

Re: 67-68 frntclip?
The reason for not being able to post up in the WIW section is not having paid the membership fee of $25 bucks. I haven't paid mine and it has probably cost me ten times that in stuff I needed to sell or could have listed on here but couldn't, and as soon as I leave the computer it leaves my mind. The front sounds a little high being that some of the high dollar parts of the grille still have to be bought and some of that grille stuff can get pretty expensive. The WIW section is for subscribing members to ask the value of something they plan to sell. Posting here on the board is the right spot when you are asking opinions because you plan on buying.
In my opinion he is very overpriced and I would keep looking.

Why hello southern neighbor. Good to see another Utah'n on the forum. Parts up this way are scarce. Good luck on finding what ya need.

If they are in great shape with no rust and big dents you'd pay more for after market parts for a hood, both fenders, core support, grill plus shipping and have thinner metal that doesn't fit as good as original parts.
It would just depend on how good of shape they are in to me and my personal opinion I like the 67 - 68 clip the best with the sloped hood. |

Re: 67-68 frntclip?
My truck is a 71,and LOVE the 67-68 front!!So some day.
Ok,I just looked it all up. LMC will pay the freight if you spend over 1000 bucks. So hood, both fenders, rad support, and grill.$1250 same stuff this guy has,and said "he called around" and was told he should sell for 1500-1800 dollers ,so he would come down to 1000 bucks! And his parts are ok,not great or super clean. Basically, this guy is smokin' crack!! I sell used parts for half of new, depending on condition,it may be less than half.Isn't that about normal?I would expect to pay 400-600 for a nice 67-68 clip. I'm not sayin' nobody should or would buy his parts,I just want to make sure I didn't get ripped off.I wish him good luck. |
