Yeah, those old outdated motors from previous generations just don't do the same as the new LS motors. But they are BIG, LOUD and FAST. Yea but there are clear reasons why drag cars and any pro will go with an "old and out dated" big or small block and go carb'd.
1 a million more ways to make cubic inches compared to a ls
2 horsepower rating is way higher on aftermarket racing engines than a stock motor
3 not as many performance upgrades including efi are there yet for ls motors
Yes I acknowledge ls motor can be really fast but in my application it does not fit.
