Newbie lil help?

Hey guys after wanting a 71 chevy since I was 9 I finally bought one 17 years later. I plan on fully restoring it frame is mint bed is good cab needs work I bought a bunch of replacement panels for it but I think it might be a little more work to fix than I had planed. Roof has a lot of rot and around windshield. I'm certainly not afraid of some work I would consider putting a new roof on this cab it needs floors inners outters supports and corners no big deal I know Should I restore this cab or should I try and find one with a better roof that needs some metal work? I have a good welder and body shop and everything at my disposal. I live on long island so getting used parts just doesn't happen. Anyone have a decent cab for sale that wont cost me a million dollars to get shipped here or a roof they could chop off a cab for me? I'm just afraid if i try to patch the hell out of the roof thats there the rot will come back. I want to build something thats gonna last. Let me know what you think guys?

If it has a lot of rust around the window frame plus other areas ... long term I would think you would be better off exchanging cabs. Fixing rust can be expensive and time consuming. Other opinions?
