No not on US spec vehicles. GM Canada can document Canadian delivered trucks though.

The SPID in our 1972 Suburban Custom Deluxe 10. Somebody cut off all the important stuff on the 69's SPID, so I am judging it off by what I can see.

Note the typo on the engine size. My truck still has the original 396 in it.

Here's the SPID for a '72 I picked up today. It looks suspect to me, may be a repop. This thing is loaded, what's the deal with the air cleaner?

Thanks for the pics. It has lost something thru the years but you're right back in the day it was nice. Are you parting that one?

Yes I am probably going to have to part it, back fees in excess of $600, salvage title, engine seems to be locked up. Pretty much rust free, a lot of good parts.

Well being rust free you're gonna be busy...always a shame to see one die but it's going to help others live on

From the codes on the SPID the speedo was probably a required build option (KPH?). Notable are the export and certification options which are often seen on export vehicles. The seatbelt delete and the fleet numbered seat unit make me suspect the vehicle may have been shipped as an incomplete vehicle. Then seats and belts were sourced locally for final assembly. Exterior trim and other accessory type options may well have been installed then too.

OK here is the spid from a 67 Suburban. It is a low option truck but it does have tinted glass. Still has 292 and three speed.
Can someone tell me if this was a two tone painted truck or was it all one color? |

The area that has the paint code is torn away so you need to do the detective work on original exterior color, if a two-tone (with 526 Off White) and trim color.

I don't know about the 2-tone, but it lists an overdrive trans which is pretty rare.

Several options there, that I've never seen listed

They are fleet options, "Special Equipment" aka COPO vs the regular production options RPO you see on most SPIDs. This was a government ride, GSA pool vehicle. Be interested in pictures of that winch and what the original color is.

Glad to see someone else with that option also. I have the working winch PTO with the original t221 NAVY(CB'er) bought.

The above 4 posts are responses to the posts I deleted. Trying to keep this Suburban and Panel specific. I PM'ed Cooper and gave him this link to the pickups SPID thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=282003 Thanks, LockDoc
