Re: Window regulator
Your probably right. I saw nylon rollers for regulators for sale so I thought why not the springs.

Re: Window regulator
Do you think you would ever be able to put one on? Would it not have to be wound a round or two to have some spring action? If you can get by with just that surely somebody would have one they could help you out with from changing out the whole regulator. I know I am not the only guy on this site that never throws anything away. I may lose it before I need it again, but I don't throw it away. I did however have a big bonfire two years ago to clean out some parts and int. trim pieces that I had put up some S-10 parts that went all the way back to 1982. I said if I hadn't needed them since the late 80's chances were good that I wouldn't. I still may have close to one hundred door panels from those years from S-10 and C and K trucks from years 88-98, cause that is what I was real big into for a really long time. Jim

Re: Window regulator
I have a few dozen used regulators and some extra springs , there is not that much tension on them and you should easily be able to wind one back in place with caution as with any spring under pressure place a rag over it to prevent it from shooting across the shop , the trick would be to count the rotations when removing the old one from static position to compressed ,Pm me an address and I'll ship you one for free .
