Scored a new K30 yesterday

I cant pick it up til Tuesday but I scored a sweet 55k original mile k30 with plow yesterday. I've hated my backup work truck since the day I bought it and finally decided to try and sell it. I saw this truck pop up on CL a couple weeks ago so I listed my truck/plow. Well the timing worked out perfect and thanks to a buyer from texas who didn't show up I get myself a much cooler backup truck!!! Picture of the Ford too, I'll get some more pictures when I pick it up Tuesday

Great score, that truck does not look like it spent anytime plowing.

Re: Scored a new K30 yesterday

Since the truck is from Colorado, it may have spent time plowing, I don't think they use the salt out there like they do back here in the east. Nice truck!!

Its an 83

It was used to plow the lot in the pictures, pretty small, no salt... Its a one owner truck, has all of the maintenance records from day 1. There is a little bubbling starting in once of the cab corners but overall it's very clean.

Re: Scored a new K30 yesterday

Picked up the truck this morning. Snapped a couple cell phone pics before I parked it. I think the weather will be a little better tomorrow so I'll clean it up, and take some better pictures and probably start a build thread too

Re: Scored a new K30 yesterday

I believe I like these regular cab K30 dually trucks more than the short beds. And I have always been a short bed guy.

Nice score on a clean truck like that one. They are harder and harder to find anymore. Congrats.

Its far from perfect but its definitely better than the damn ford I had before . Today I got the cab lights, tailgate lights working, got the rear bumper lights wired to the reverse lights, and took off grandpas bug guard and running boards. Maybe its just me but it looks like it sits about a foot taller without the running boards.

Re: Scored a new K30 yesterday

You have a damn good start to whatever you are going to do with it. Wish mine was in that condition.

Not sure what the plans are yet, I hate to just park it and use it for work 4-5 times a year like the ford. I really don't like white wheels so I may throw a set of aluminum wheels and some bigger tires on it, interior, and a vintage air setup. I don't want to make it too nice to get dirty at work

Thanks. I paid more than I normally would because the plow is soooo clean. I gave $5200 with the plow, came out of pocket $300 to swap trucks. I think I did ok, I haven't seen many K30s for sale out here
