Gauge cluster electrical problems
Has anyone had this problem before?
Dolphin Gauges all work fine with headlights off. As soon as I turn headlights on all gauges stop working (go to zero or max). Is there a short or is it improperly grounded? Truck is at the shop otherwise I'd take a video for a better reference. Here's a pic of the setup. Not sure what PO did with wiring. |

Re: Gauge cluster electrical problems
I could not agree more. The first thing to do is make sure everything is grounded correctly. If ground is not your issue then more information will be needed to help you.
Good luck, Tom

Re: Gauge cluster electrical problems
I have the speed hut gauges in my truck. They work fine also with no lights. When the parking are headlights are on they max everything out but the voltage reading it stays the same. I figure it's a ground, but where? The orignal cluster didn't do this.
My gauges are plastic with a hot wire and a ground.
