bulkhead/firewall connector
Anyone know if any company is making this part new? I'm referring to the large connector that mounts on the firewall that the engine and front light harness connectors plug into. I had assumed if anyone made it, it'd be American Autowire but I'm not seeing it in their catalog.

Re: bulkhead/firewall connector
I think you are talking about the main dash harness. It is all one piece.

But I don't know if you can get one without what I'd consider the integral under-dash harness that the two plugs from the engine side of the firewall connect to. But, if you are a wiring guy, maybe a used fuse block and you can go to town splicing...Or find a used under dash harness (fuse block = your "plug" is connected). Truthfully, the fuse block and under dash harness are the first things I throw away on a build. Too many possible electrical gremlins working that room. I've chased 'em.

Re: bulkhead/firewall connector
That's what I originally thought. But I looked around under the dash and there is a gap between my fuse box and that bulkhead connector. Looks like they are two pieces? But I haven't pulled the fuse box off the firewall yet so I guess you're right.

Re: bulkhead/firewall connector
There's a gap, alright. There's "stuff" in there.
Here's a pic of a funky one. Maybe one of mine I made for a guide...I don't remember. But I had the pic.

Re: bulkhead/firewall connector
Bad pic I know, but hopefully you can see what I'm talking about. Does the fuse box separate into two pieces maybe? Cause it definitely looks like the connector portion could unbolt from the rest of it.
