Major Brake Problem
I've got a 53' 3100 its got a 305-TH350-2002 Camaro rear end-Mustang front end-power disc's all around. After the truck is driven for a while and I get into a situation where it's slow going and a lot of stopping, the brakes start to stick. I have to reach down and pull the pedal up to go, every time there applied. When I get back on the highway they work fine. Also, the transmission acts as though it is free wheeling when I let off the gas approaching a stop, and it either kicks down or kicks out of gear and then back in at about 55-60 mph.

Re: Major Brake Problem
Is the master cylinder in the original place under the cab? Is your exhaust close to any of it? I ran into this a few years ago and the exhaust was heating up the brake fluid causing brake problems, so we wrapped the exhaust on that side with header wrap. It sounds close to the same issue because you get on the highway and get some air flowing under the truck. Just a thought , might help.

Re: Major Brake Problem
If the MC is under the floor, did you put in check valves? More info needed.
