Re: inline six beefy engine!
Well...the easiest way would be to bolt on a turbo at 8 pounds of boost. Rebuild it to stock specs...bolt on a clifford intake and a turbo exhaust manifold...then an 8 psi turbo and you'll have killer power at the low end. You can turbo a stock 6 cylinder because you have 7 mains and their bottom end is strong. Just don't rev to to high. lol. Here is what I am doing with mine: We'll start with the block...30 over bore, decked, balanced, crank shaft balanced and turned, Clifford 264 duration cam .518 lift 110 lobe sep 4 degrees advanced at grind, .30 over .150 dish propane pistons for more compression. Now the head: Head bolts bosses will be cut out and T6G2 Lumps will be installed, 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves will be installed..head will be polished as well. The HEI I am going to use will be a Speedmaster HEI..like a stock GM hei but with a 65K coil and capable to 7,000 rpm. Carb will be a 600 or 750 Edelbrock, and intake and exhaust will remain the clifford intake and headers. When all is said and done we should be putting at least 320 ft pounds torque and 315 Hp at the flywheel....And I will be using a richmond 6 speed trans for the 5 direct gears and 6th gear overdrive.
