Help with Dual Headlight Harness
Hello,
Just want to make sure I'm doing this right. I have four off the shelf headlights from Wal Mart. They came with pig tails for the light plug and I've determined which is high and low beam. Is it right that on LOW beam, all four lights are on and on HIGH beam they're also on but just higher intensity? On the factory harness are the two left low beam wires spliced together and joined with the two right low beam wires and same with high beam? I'm using a AAW universal harness. It's a '59 model. Thanks, Jeff

Re: Help with Dual Headlight Harness
Two beams on for low and 4 for high
On the 58-59 trucks they used a single beam and a dual beam headlight. Meaning that the single beam was only for high beam and the dual was a high and low beam. Single beam was a single filament and dual beam was a dual filament, so you would have the low with only two lights on and high with four lights on. Look at this diagram from AAW it shows how they are wired . http://www.americanautowire.com/PDFL...20IN%201.0.pdf l |
