Sport Mirror Backer Plate
06263291 and 06263292 are the NOS ones. Just picked up some driver quality sport mirrors and ordered some gaskets from GMC Pauls.
Does anyone have a creative way to mount these or good tips? I've saved some of the forums on proper mount locations. Does anyone know if the Repo sport mirror backer plates work with the originals? I may have to just design up my own custom set, once the mirrors arrive. Would be nice to have the exact dimensions but I think I can wing it. There is one NOS set on Ebay for 90 bucks + Shipping, but that's not worth it to me. Thx in advance

Re: Sport Mirror Backer Plate
Well I found some basic dimensions. That should get me close.

I think the repros are the same dimension, but they are just slightly curved steel that spreads the bearing surface. Half hour with a sandbag, drill, hammer and tap beats $90 any day!

Just use the rubber gasket for a pattern for the holes.... Here are the measurements. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=179279 LockDoc
