vendors on this site

I was told to buy stuff off of the vendors marketplace on this site... im new to this site and this is my first project im 20, can I have like a list of stuff and get it at once with like free shipping like I can with lmctruck? I like their site but ive been told many times that some of their stuff is faulty.

I love how organized and specific their parts are, I ordered a gas tank, fuel pump, float, and gaskets and they look fine I haven't installed them yet.

Re: vendors on this site

Just buy from whom ever you prefer. This site has nothing to do with the vendors other then some vendors pay this site to advertise their name here.

Which is exactly why many members prefer doing business with board vendors. They are helping to support the board, and many (if not all) are enthusiasts who own & work on these trucks and have a good working knowledge about them. Can't necessarily say that about some other vendors out there.

The link that I posted is to the forum leader page, it shows the admins, staff, vendors etc as you scroll through. The vendor marketplace would be the place to look for deals vendors listed. I thought you were asking for a list of vendors that support the site, sorry!

As for a site ap. You would do best to PM Josh and discuss it. Most newer phones work better without the aps and are less limited.

Re: vendors on this site

I've used GMCPaul and ClassicHeartBeat both with great customer service. Just my .02 but to me customer service and quality parts will win out in the long run over a lower purchase price. Both these vendors KNOW these trucks and have a vast amount of knowledge which they will share.

Also, you might want to consider becoming a dues paying member. Best $25 a year you will ever spend on your truck. Then you will be able to place WTB (want to buy), F/S (for sale) and WTT (want to trade) ads in the suitable parts forums. Quite handy when needing items you can't find or have spare parts from a build you would like to turn for $$ to buy other needed parts. When I was restoring my '71 4x4, before I found this site, it was quite a challenge finding correct parts for a vintage 4x4. They are NON-EXISTENT in salvage yards for sure.

Good luck and Happy Truck Building,

Re: vendors on this site

Welcome to the forum!
There a lot of great vendors on the site, offering a wide range of products. Let us know if we can be of any help while building your truck. I think you will find a lot of good information here, and becoming a supporting member like Ironhorse mentioned, is a good idea for the reasons he stated.

Post some pictures up of your project.... we like pictures! lol

Re: vendors on this site

LMC does have great parts, but also has some not so great. You just don't know what you are getting until it shows up at your door.
The best part about the Forum vendors is that most of these guys build trucks as well and therefore know what the best brands are and only sell those. When you buy from one of these guys they have a vested interest in providing the best parts and great service.
