Door jamb vent

What year did the pressure release thingy in the driver's side door jamb first appear?

I am guessin that 69 's did not have em??? I have been looking at a 69 part's truck that has the jamb vent and a little square vin tag in the jamb,think this truck has been messed with ???

From what I've seen they appeared in '71 but not all '71s have them. I had a '71 GMC that does and a '71 Chevy that didn't, I don't believe make has anything to do with it though. I remember thinking that all '71s had them and maybe the cab wasn't original but I asked the local experts and that was the info. I was told.

As far as that '69 parts truck, does it have a throttle cable or rod? Not that these can't be change but if it is a cable, possible that the cab is not '69. If it was coverted to a cable, the holes should still be on the firewall where the bracket bolted that held the pivot arm for the rod (I think).

I can not rember seeing a linkage rod just the cable (square)hole.... It has outta state plate's on it, has a title, and it's hard to read the frame # to see if they match the vin#(too much oil,greese and crap... I did have a friend who is a sherrif call in the plate's and the truck is not stolen??? Should I buy if for 100$$

The door jamb has a little square vin tag like truck in picture with the vent right below it and it appear's to be stamped in nut cut...
If I put up the vin # can someone tell me a date it was made ... Like early or late 69???
