Senior member "hatzie" has a link to several manuals in his signature. Do a search for him and then look up your truck in the links.

Check with M&H Electric. They should have what you are looking for. It might take a bit of time to build you one but their quality is worth it.

Re: looking for rear taillight wiring harness

This guy makes them.

Just looking at the picture...
  1. Grounding wires??? I don't see the factory ring terminal grounds that go behind the tailights and I also don't see more than 4 wires at the unterminated tailight to main harness tails.
  2. The 1156/1157/194 bulb sockets are overmolded on the harness instead of the factory style sockets. The overmolds will probably hold up for several years but I'm not sure how well they'll work in another 20.
  3. The license plate light connectors look like unsealed 1/4 disconnects. This is not the place to have un-sealed connectors. Single or two position Weatherpaks are what I would use. You can probably request those or trailer style bullet overmolds.
  4. No molded connector to mate with the 1978 OEM harness. Not neccesarily a negative. You can probably request the 85-91 Delphi Weatherpak 2x2 connector 12015798 on his harness and install the Delphi Weatherpak 12015024 mating half on yours in place of the 73-84 overmolded GM connector... or just install your own Weatherpacks.
I've done this connector update several times. Mouser Electronics has a nice little feature called projects that allows you to save a Bill of Materials for a project and then share it with anyone. I put all the pieces to assemble male and female Delphi Weatherpak 2x2 connectors together so I could order them or share a BOM with descriptions and OEM part #s.
This link ---> will take you directly to my Mouser Electronics Delphi Weatherpak 2x2 4 position connectors, terminals, and seals "saved project".

Re: looking for rear taillight wiring harness

I decided to order one of the rear tail light wiring harnesses. I had been having taillight issues for years. I'm not much for wiring, but I should be able to adapt weather tight plugins. I'll post on it when installed.
