B85 - Upper mouldings
J70 - Vacuum power brakes M49 - Turbo Hydramatic transmission (If it came with a smallblock, it's a turbo 350, if it came with a big block, it's a turbo 400) PU? - G78-15-8 Highway BB???? -tire size U63 - AM pushbutton radio Z84 - Cheyenne package 609 - Interior color code blue, (Med blue since the exterior color is med blue) A11 - Tinted windows (not tint like modern, but a greenish tint) C60 - Air conditioning L59 - It's LS9 - 350 4bbl N40 - Power steering P01 - Bright metal hubcaps Z53 - Ammeter temp oil pressure gauges 542 - paint code, Medium blue/ white two tone The muffler blew up because they pumped a lot of fuel into the exhaust and when it finally started, it lit the fuel and kaboom! Goodbye muffler.

This is everything that i have. I looked on ebay for a long time an compiled this list of option codes off pics sent by the sellers of the trucks. Just try to find your code and see what it stands for. A couple of them may not be right, but 95% of them are correct.

'H78' was about the same as a P255-70 is now. '15' means 15 inch wheel '8' I'd guess is the rim width 'Highway BB' is the tire type.

Just the option code for the tires.... old school way of measuring tires...not the 235/75/R 15 you might be used to nowadays.
G78 15 8 BB Not real sure on all of this but a 15 inch tire with 78% height of the width 8 ply and blackwall belted. Just a guess for not looking it up actually. Want something fore the G ..how about grip or maybe its the speed rating.

Thanks for the help!!
Yeah, I've never heard a muffler blow up before. It was like someone fired off a shot gun right next to my ear. Can any permanent damage be done to any vital components? I may not know much, but things blowing up can tend to have adverse affects on other things around them... Paul |
