35X12.50rx15LT: how low can i go?
I have a 1986 GMC Sierra K1500 5.7L (M)
I have 35X12.50Rx15LT super swampers, And 2'' body lift and 6'' suspension lift.. I want to lower it. But if i went to stock springs would i grind it? What do i have to know? the wheelbase or wheelwell or something? |

You could take the body lift out. 6" spring are enough for 35's. I wouldn't go much lower than that unless you put smaller tires on it...

Your truck is 4wd right? If it is, you can run 35's with a BARE MINIMUM (and it's not advised) of 3" suspension lift...I ran 32's with a stock 75 C10 2wd...

You'll need a minimum of 4". Even then it'll probably rub when flexed out. Any less and you'll need to cut fenders some. Those Swampers usually measure out to a 35" unlike some brands that don't actually measure out to a true advertised size

i wanna lower it a little bit. But how low can a 4x4 truck go?
im sick of feelinge everysingle bump i got tough country shocks on there right now. Its a tank i feel every rock i run over. Any suggestions on shocks?ones what wouldnt make me grind but would be good? |

Try the Edelbrock series shocks. I've only heard good things about these and they make a world of difference.

put stock springs and shocks on it, and ditch your body lift. hack the fenders and wheel the wee out of it. :thumbsup:
