Another C30 post.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of C30's have found new homes lately on here. I joined the movement Saturday! Some of yall may have seen this in the yellow and blue post from earlier in the week. I picked it up about an hour away down here in central TX. I picked it up for $900. 133" wheelbase. It runs and drives. 350 with a four speed that shifts and runs well. Did I overpay? The only rust is the front of the passenger fender as usual and the rockers. My plan was to part out the truck, but I have to say it has grown on me. I think its going to be a keeper now. The plan is to strip the grille back down, put a OE front bumper on it, replace the rockers and just get it in perfect running driving condition and use the heck out of it. Please tell me I didn't overpay so I can tell my girlfriend she is wrong!

Re: Another C30 post.

I have NO use for that thing but at that price, I probably would have bought it too!

Perhaps when I get my truck back on the road, I'll look into something like that.

What you paid is a good deal. Make the mods you want and have fun with that truck.

Re: Another C30 post.

Anyone have a good idea on the easiest way to strip the grille of the spray paint?

Re: Another C30 post.

Aircraft stripper. Nasty ammonia stuff but the paint curls up and practically wipes off. My grille was painted red then stripped this way. Wear rubber gloves and a mask btw I did remove the grille first to not mess up anything else

Re: Another C30 post.

Thanks! Ill have to give that a shot if I don't just replace it altogether. Thanks for the kind words guys. As for the front bumper, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. It was welded on so I may just leave it alone for now. Plus, shipping that thing across the country would be expensive I'm sure!

Re: Another C30 post.

I'd have been all over that if I'd find it at that price. I've been looking for something to put my SA200 on and that's it! Nice buy.

Even when I'm inside it, I try not to look up! lol. So far I've bought two 67-72's that were factory yellow. It may be a sign, but ill just keep painting over it!

Re: Another C30 post.

For a truck like that, running and driving, with a straight body, I'd say you got one great deal!

It's too nice to part out. Glad you're going to keep it.
