Re: how much room in the cab for us bigger people
Im glad to hear the tilt makes that much of a difference. I always took it for granted in the newer cars. I do like to lean back though but seems I am probably limited in the 68. Have it for a year and still haven't taken her for a ride yet.

Re: how much room in the cab for us bigger people
I know I'll have to get used to driving a 67-72 again as my daily driver is a 95 Ford crew Cab. Plenty of room in the cab of it.

Re: how much room in the cab for us bigger people
In my '67 I shoved the column in and put on a smaller wheel. Has plenty of room for me now....375lbs and 6 feet tall.

Re: how much room in the cab for us bigger people
wow lots of reply's . I guess this is on a lot of members mind. guess I pick something good to talk about. It's great how we all come togather as one to help each other. Maybe we should get the president a truck so he can see whats it's like to to get things handle. but back to this there is also adapter that puts the wheel I think 2 inches back to the dash but I have read that it may hit your tilt or turn handle. just for fun here use a milk crate bolted down lol. Keep it coming this all has help me out and I think others.

Re: how much room in the cab for us bigger people
I don't think you can do that with yours. The factory column had a "crush zone" that you can collapse. On a column without it you'd have to cut and shorten it somehow.

Re: how much room in the cab for us bigger people
6'8" 380#s. Smaller wheel helped alot. Considering pushing the column forward. haven't crawled under to look at the shift linkage for the th400 but assume it can be readjusted to work? Same with 3 on the tree?
