Re: Garage art

I`m only guessing you could have one lit up for $500, if you painted it youself.

Oh wow! Too cool! Did you have someone do it for you, or did you buy it?

Re: Garage art

I like that. I keep talking about making a tailgate porch swing.

I keep seeing people replacing the headlights in grills and with speakers. I've thought about doing a '66, '70 and '72 across the front of the garage as my front stage for surround sound. If I find some deals on the trio I will.

Re: Garage art

I got inspired and made my own out of a repro tailgate. A friend that owns a sign shop did all the tubing for me. This was way cheaper to DIY than what the ebay vendor sells them for. Now to find a spot to hang it in the garage... Somehow I don't think putting it in the living room will go over well.

Happy wife, happy life. I have given up every room in the house after living in it for 24 years and being married 9. She said I still had the garage and my response ( which I don't recommend using) " you are out there doing laundry more than I am out there, wait a minute, you don't do much laundry so I guess you are right.....honey" At least she lets me have the cars and trucks

Re: Garage art

I got a 63 hood in my barn. It is over my work bentch. When you flip the lights the blinkers come on cause I wired them to the circuit. You can lift it up and there are tools behind it. I may poast some picks.

Re: Garage art

Thanks guys. The girlfriend thinks its "neat" so I guess that's a good sign! I'm still going to play it safe and hang it in the garage tomorrow.

I suppose it would take about all of 9 seconds to get pulled over if I slapped this on my truck with an inverter, but it might be worth it ha!

I may make another and put it on ebay to see what happens... I don't think I'd lose money for what I can make these for.
